Weekend Retreat For Grieving Mothers october 17th-19th, 2025

You can expect to be held in a safe and compassionate space as you connect to your child and reconnect to yourself. The weekend's activities include carefully crafted healing practices and workshops, designed to offer life shifting transformations. You will learn tools and techniques to move through your everyday life, while honoring your child and yourself. Connection with other mothers who know loss like you do, will validate that you are not alone and help you to create meaningful bonds. 

The retreat is open to all grieving mothers and is nondenominational.

This retreat is a small, intimate healing experience held at Wisdom House Retreat and Conference Center. Our group will be staying in the farmhouse, allowing us to connect in a more private setting. 

The total cost of the weekend is $300. This includes all accommodations and food. Rooms are single occupancy with a shared hall bath.   

Welcome! I'm Cara Martinisi. I'm not only the creator of Love From Heaven, but I'm also a wife and mom to three boys, one who lives in Heaven. In 2014 my oldest son, Christian died at the age of 6, and my world went dark. I searched for anything and everything that would relieve the feeling of oppressive grief, even if for a few moments. As I experienced healing practices and services, learned coping techniques and tools, I realized that my spark of hope began to grow. I will always love and miss Christian, but I've learned how to keep breathing, go on and even feel joy again.

My passion and purpose is guiding others on this same journey. I'm committed to helping those who are grieving not only survive this inconceivable loss, but to honor their grief and find a way forward that is sustainable. I'm adept at meeting them where they are, and guiding them to ignite their own spark of hope. My compassionate and heart led approach offers encouragement and support as we navigate the healing journey together.
