Grieving Parents Meet Up
Join us on the fourth Wednesday of every month at Heliotrope Holistic Healing, 7pm. All are welcome. Each month we explore different healing modalities and talk about our experiences as grieving parents. Most importantly we make connections and offer support to one another.

We offer local and virtual grief coaching, in group and 1:1 settings. Having support, whether 1:1 or in a group is always beneficial. Living life post child loss requires support from others who not only understand your plight, but have walked in your shoes. We find hope in those who have traveled this road before us. Our care packages are filled with resources that have helped along our journey, as well as comfort items such as journals, candles, soothing aromatherapy hearts and daily meditation books. Most importantly they are filled with love and help grieving families connect with other child loss survivors. These are free of charge and are sent as a means of providing families with a lifeline. We all grieve differently. We all heal differently. Free healing modality seminars are offered, touching on diversified styles and interests. Some examples are art meditation, journaling workshops, and breath work. We run these both in person and virtually.

Each week a new email is sent to all child loss survivors on our circulation list. These emails address timely triggers and other issues that affect child loss survivors. They include resources in all forms; written, audio and video. They also contain coping mechanisms and information about various healing modalities so child loss survivors can learn what works best for them.

We know how difficult holidays are after the loss of a child. Songs, decorations, lights and well wishes are all reminders that your child is no longer alive. For us, stepping foot into a store meant seeing a gift that Christian would have loved and hearing a song he had belted out only a year ago. We also know that funeral costs put a financial strain on families. This is the reason the Holiday Help Program was established. We were extremely fortunate that our community shopped for us to ensure that our two living boys received gifts. We want to do the same for other grieving families. We purchase the gifts on their wishlists and provide the families with the gifts.

A scholarship fund to memorialize Christian's love of learning has been established into perpetuity with the inaugural award to begin in June 2026, the year of Christian's high school graduating class. This scholarship embodies Christian’s thirst for knowledge and enthusiasm for life
